A beach themed palette is one of the most relaxing, neutral and versatile of all colour schemes. Feel instantly calm and relaxed with a beach themed room. Regardless of how close you live to a beach, bring elements of beach life homeware and home furnishings by adding coastal elements. Feel close to nature and sooth your senses by bringing a sense of peace and tranquillity to any room in your home. A beachy, nautical and cape-cod themed palate consists of cool blues, tropical teals, aqua, cool and soft greys and white.

The “by the beach” feeling can be brought to any home. For bedroom furniture DIY and chalk paint are very popular nowadays to distress old furniture pieces. Nautical themed bed linen, duvets, photo frames, armchairs and vases are the ideal way to add a little by-the-beach feeling.

For the bathroom adding a nautical theme is easy to do. Adding little touches such as nautical bathroom accessories including baskets of shells and vases give a hint of by the beach that is not too overpowering. Bath Towels in a beach themed palette will also go nicely with the look.

For living areas coastal rope mirrors, rippled glassware or tableware bring coastal elements into our homes. A picture covered with shells or sea shell napkin rings are all fantastic decorations to make our homes have an ocean atmosphere.
